Commander Elias Ward stood alone on the Moon. The ground was gray and soft under his boots. Above him, the Earth looked small and blue, floating in the black sky. He had trained for this mission for a long time. But he never expected the Moon to feel so silent… so empty.

The mission was called Luna Echo. It tested if humans could live on the Moon for a long time. The other astronauts had gone back to Earth. Elias stayed alone for one more month. It was a test to see how well he could survive by himself.

Each day was the same. He checked his oxygen. He cleaned the living area. He sent messages to Earth. But every day, the silence felt bigger. To feel less alone, he talked to himself out loud.

One day, while walking near a crater, Elias saw something shiny under the dust. He picked it up. It was a small metal object. It looked old. It was not from his mission. Maybe it was from an old spaceship or a probe?

He took it back and scanned it. He sent the data to Earth. But the scientists did not know what it was. It did not match anything in their records.

That night, Elias had strange dreams. He saw lights far away. He heard soft whispers in the radio. Sometimes, he saw shadows move, even though nothing was there. Maybe it was just his mind, tired and alone. Or maybe… something was under the Moon’s surface.

Soon, the radio went quiet. No more answers from Earth. But Elias kept going. He followed his routine. He waited.

One night, he looked at the stars.

They flickered.

And then… he knew.

He was not alone anymore.
